Home Tomorrow!

Can't wait for you to get home - we both miss you so much! Just woke up from a nice little nap with your boy - he is so sweet. He has rolled over for me a couple more times today...one time he rolled back to front and then flopped right back over. Sorry I couldn't get it on video, but i tried! here is a quick look at him chatting, though.
Love you - and be soooo careful coming home.

Come Home Soon Daddy!

Hi Kit...hope you are feeling better. Sorry I have another video of Sev in his Saucer, but he seems happiest there. Now that I am busy uploading this video, he is over there talking up a storm and blowing bubbles, hitting all of the music buttons and the little ball thing that makes all of that racket. Of course, the video camera makes him immediately quiet, so, sorry. Maybe I'll be able to capture a conversation for you another time. Love you, come home soon.

Hi Daddy...We Miss You

Here's a quick video of Seven in the Saucer Rikki gave us. I think he's a little small for it just yet, but it won't be long before he lets loose on it.

We miss you Kit, and hope you come home soon. I love you.

Giggle Giggle

After Seven's bath tonite, we rubbed his feet on his face. Maybe I would laugh too, if I could reach my feet to my face, but we all know my fat butt will never find out. So I'll have to enjoy him enjoying it for himself...

The holidays are over...

and now we are all here at home, trying to recover. My motivation has all but died, and if Seven weren't here I doubt i would even get out of bed sometimes. But oh well. Life goes on.

Seven's Mommaw and Poppy got him the cutest TV ever for his room. I snagged a picture of him today laying in his Boppy watching cartoons. Cute, huh?

As many of you know, we took Sev to Massanutten for New Years. We had planned to take him to the Waterpark there, but instead we just jumped in the oversized jacuzzi with him in our room. He really seemed to enjoy it, so next time maybe we WILL actually take him to the pool. That is, of course, if i remember not only my bathing suit top but the bottom as well. Don't worry, I am clothed in the tub...you won't see anything you don't wanna see!

I SO wish we were taking him to Jamaica later this month, but I am also looking forward to a little uninterrupted sleep. 7 nights may be about 6 too many. We'll just have to wait and see.

Lastly, after a long day here at the house today, Jon somehow comes home and right off the bat teaches little man to stick out his tongue. As soon as I can catch a video of it, I'll let you know! (Why couldn't he learn something USEFUL that fast? Like, say algebra?)

Catching Up But Falling Behind...

Okay, I am FINALLY putting on the videos I have been meaning to. Sorry about that, but i am a new Mom with too many responsibilities. Last week was hectic - things are picking up at the store because of Christmas, and on top of that, Seven got a pretty unpleasant cold, so i have had to deal with that, too. i think maybe he has just about slept it off, but he still isn't feeling too hot. We also had our freind Leslie's baby shower here at the house this Saturday, which was nice, but took a lot of time to clean a house that hadn't been dealt with in a while (or maybe it had and we are just very messy people, which is probably the real reason.) But anyway, after a good day of Sev being in a good mood and eating properly, he's tucked away in bed now and i can post these updates. They will pretty much speak for themselves, but they include: Sev thinking a dirty diaper is pretty funny, a determined roll over, and making a huge mess of dinner while Mom is on the phone. Hope you like them. By the way, wasn't that snow something else this week? i wish it was still here - it makes it feel more like Christmas. I have managed to get all 3 trees up as well as lights around the railing (thanks Mom for the lights and garland) and candles in the windows, thanks to Jon. So it does look a bit festive even without the snow. And Moms house was full of candy making today, so the kitchen here is full of sweets. just what I need 6 weeks before going to Jamaica. Can I blame my gut on the baby is it is 5 months old??? Someone trll me I can.....

Thanksgiving in Harrisonburg & Eating Like a Big Boy...

Well, other than the screaming for over an hour when we first got there, and oh yeah, the disgusting poop attack that required a full change of clothes in a gas station on the way home in horrible traffic, everything went just fine for Seven's first real road trip. He got to meet his aunt and uncle Josh & Keeli for the fist time, and his cousin Brant. Brant is a real character...so cute and funny. He actually goes into hiding to do his business, and he's only 14 months old. How clever is that? Here's a cute pic of little Brant...

Seven is now eating oatmeal and fruits like peaches and pears at least 2 to 3 times a day along with his formula. So far, so good, he really likes it and eats off of a spoon like he's always known how. He no longer is satisfied with just a bottle, and he seems to really like the food...in fact, he gets a little hateful if he doesn't get a bite fast enough. Were so thrilled with him - he's just the best little guy, and is starting to develop a real personality. He's a flirt for sure, and though it's kind of cute now, he's a Mama's boy. Today especially, I had to be holding him pretty much every minute. Of course I LOVE that he loves me, but it does make work a little impossible. Just ask my Mom, who has to step in and do everything at te store because I am tied up with a baby who just wants Mommy to sing to him. Again.

I also just want to say a heavy hearted goodbye to our best friends Nicole and Adam, who are moving to Raleigh today after being with us for 11 years. God. 11 years. So much has changed since then. Weddings, babies, buying houses together. Vacations to Europe, cruises, football games. Lots of happy times and not so happy times. But we've always been together. Now you'll be just a little farther away, I keep reminding myself... But that's just so I can breathe. We love you and miss you two already.
