All together on a Saturday...

It was nice to have a day when Jon and I could be together with Seven, so we made the most of it and had a family outing at Pizza Hut. Not gonna say which one of us decided to yell (no, not cry) most of the lunch, but at least we were the only people in the restaurant. What a mouth that boy has...always jabbering, hollering, grunting...you name it. Always something to say.

While Jon worked in the garden, Sev and I wandered around Walmart for a while, then came home for dinner. I decided to strip him down and let him try to feed himself - which he does TRY. Give him a break, please - he is less than 7 months old. We have learned that not only has he mastered the sippy cup, he is also a whiz at a regular cup and straw, so I've gotten him a real "big boy" cup with actual straw. He acts so grown up with it. Maybe I should keep him a baby - I hear I am going to miss that......

A day at the park...and then some.

Today started off not too great - we ended up having to go to work because Cortni was sick - but we handled it fine. Mom came in around 1 and let us go eat lunch with Rik, Leslie and all the girls, then we had our first day at the town park. Seven really enjoyed the swings, in fact, he enjoyed it so much that we went back later this evening to swing some more. Mommaw joined us for a little bit, but he got soooo tired that I ended up taking him home. That's when my day turned sour...he rolled himself off our bed when I stepped away for a minute. I still don't know HOW he did it - he was surrounded by pillows - but all I know is I heard a commotion, came in to him laying in the floor crying, and proceeded to pick him up and have a panic attack. So, we took him out to the emergency room just to be on the safe side. Turns out he is just fine...no bruises to speak of, no damage done. So, I promised him ice cream for dinner and the treat of staying up late tonight. maybe he'll forgive me.

Hope you enjoy his pics from the park - I can't believe my little baby is such a big boy now.

Hokie Hoops...

Last night we went to the NIT tourney at Cassell to watch VT whip up on UAB. Kinda boring, if you ask me, but still had a good time. Here are a couple of pictures I took to remember the evening...

Tomorrow night we have tickets again for the next round. I hope my sensative nervous system can handle one more night of the squeak squeak squeaking of those sneakers.......

Easter with the Family...

Seven did really well today considering the long drive to Harrisonburg to be with Jon's family...he slept all the way there, ate like a like a little piggy, played with his cousins, got kissed alot, and then got super tired and decided being cranky was the best available option. So, all in all a good day. We also celebrated Jon's Nonna's birthday, so I have included a picture of her for the sweet memory. She cried when everyone sang Happy Birthday, and again when we sang it in Italian. There is also a pic of Jon with his Mom and Sev, as well as a nice shot of him playing in the floor while the rest of the clan hunted for Easter eggs and set the poor chicken free. (long story, that one)

Thanks so much to Keeli and Brant for bringing us soooo many cute clothes for the summer, and especially for the bouncer. Seven will hop 'til he drops in that thing! He's already climbed in it for a test drive!

Hope everyone had a nice Easter and can resist the chocolate a heck of a lot better than I can. Good luck with that willpower thing.

Happy Easter!

Today I worked while Jon kept Seven, and boy did I miss seeing him! When I got home we put him in his little Easter outfit and took him over to Rikki and Doug's so that we could get a few pictures of him. I know, I know, I do too many of the "artsy" things to the pictures, but get over it. Here are the good ones we got...as well as one with the real bunny that belongs to Rae and Ryane... As you can see, the "real" Easter picture. Life is good.

Carhartts and New Shoes...

Today Mom and I made Seven some new shoes - mostly Mom, but I did do the artwork and cutting out of most of the pattern - but these little shoes are SO cute! For dinner, I dressed Seven in his new Carhartt bibs...he looked so cute. it surprises me everyday how grown up he is getting. In one picture, you'll see that he is sitting up all alone. I'm not sure when this really even happened! And tonight in his bath, he was a splashing machine. I remember saying not very long ago that I was excited for the day that would happen, but it all sneaks up on me so fast!

My Favorite Men...

I caught a couple of sweet shots of my two boys when they were playing tonight...perhaps tomorrow will hold a trip somewhere for Seven and I, maybe to Christiansburg, maybe to meet Daddy for dinner - or maybe we'll just stay home again and play.

Saturday Daddy is in charge of the boy and the house while I am working - I think they will have a fun time hanging out together!

Sunday we'll be taking a trip to visit family in Harrisonburg for Easter - I'll be sure to post a few pics of Seven in his Easter attire. I am also looking forward to Monday and my big date with Jon...we are going to meet for dinner and then head to the NIT tournament at VT. Sev will be having a sleepover at Mommaw and Poppy's, giving the two of us a full night of sleep!

Smile

What a sweetie...

The Yankees Come to Town...

As most everyone knows, the NY Yankess came to Blacksburg today to play the VT baseball team. As a good Hokie Mom, I dressed Seven in some of his cute VT gear. Here are the results, as well as a little glimpse of Couchette giving our man a little unexpected kiss this morning.

Our big day out and about...

Today while Daddy was at work, Seven and I joined Leslie and Lainy for a day trip to Princeton to grocery shop, look at the new Vera Bradley bags, and eat lunch at Cracker Barrel. It was a good time and both babies did extremely well. Seven even ate some of my chicken and dumplins', apples, carrots and potatoes. Then, after dropping the girls off at their house, we went to do some more grocery shopping, then headed over to Mommaw and Poppy's to visit, and lastly, we met up with Daddy and had dinner with Poppaw Cecil and Mommaw Peggy. So a HUGE day, especially for Mommy, who typically stays in pjs most of the day (well, week) so that might be it for this week.

Here are some pics I took over the weekend and today. I told you, that tongue thing is going to get tricky...

Just thought I'd let you see how happy some people can be in the bathtub...

What a Big Day!

Today was a lot for Seven and I...it started with a trip to the store to work up a deposit, followed by dropping off cookies to Poppy, a trip to the bank, then the grocery store. Whew. But then we joined Daddy for a walk in town using Seven's Big Boy stroller, which he immediatley went to sleep in. Seriously, not even 30 seconds went by before he konked out. After that, we had the gang up for a pizza making party with brownies and watched American Idol, then he had his bath with 2 little girls watching every second. Long day.

So, here are a few pics of the stroll...hope you enjoy them. (Is he not the sweetest little thing you have ever seen?)

Tongue Hung Out...

Seven is so cute...I'm sure when he is older this habit will come back to haunt us but for now we are just loving it up. Here are a few pics of him on his bouncer (still his favorite place to be) yucking it up for Mommy's camera. Hope you enjoy then as much as we do!
